Elias joined Newton in May 2023. Before joining Newton, he was a subject matter expert at New York-based Dataminr. Prior to that, Elias worked in mainland China for 15 years, as an economics correspondent for Reuters News and as an analyst at multiple investment intelligence firms. He is fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
Elias has a BA in History from the University of Colorado, Boulder and is based in the Seattle area.
